I have thought of a TV show for both me and my buddy Susan!
My show would feature me learning to do a crafty/cooking/making something/home improvement project each episode with someone who is an expert in that area...Now this will not be your M. Stewart type show, this is for someone like me who is a dummy! I want the simple, watered down version of how to do something, for the average joe person with average joe resources! I get the M. Stewart magazine and I love looking through it, but most of the ideas just seem WAY beyond my skill level and WAY too expensive to actually complete...My show would be basic, everyday type things that I would like to know how to do...here are a few ideas....making homemade biscuits, canning, making pickles (my guest expert here would have to be Papaw Lewis, who would make an appearance from heaven--he made the best pickles ever in the whole world!), making big beautiful bows (like the kind people put on top of their Christmas trees), drying eucalyptus, sewing something basic like throw pillows....
And I can think of a gazillion other things that I would like to learn how to do if I only had someone to show me. I am one of those people that need someone to go step by step with me through something, I cannot just learn it by reading how to do it in a book. When I learned to knit from my friend Maryellen, I remember wanting her to actually put her hands over mine and show me the steps. But when someone takes the time and teaches me, I usually can learn how to do something..so that is my show...
Now for Susan...she will go travel each episode to a different city, country, etc...She will visit all the places such as restaurants, stores, coffee shops, and bars that are "off the radar"....Not the trendy, popular places that tourists go to, but local dives that people who actually live in these places go to on a daily basis and love. I am sure all of you have places like this in your town...places that you love to go, but they don't look so great and people that are visiting would probably not look at and think, hmmm...that looks like a great place to eat...For my town, that place would have to be Butcher Boys restaurant...It doesn't look very fancy at all and could use a bit of a "make-over"....but the food there is absolutely delish! Of course, once Susan has this show and features these places, they would probably not stay "off the radar"...so I guess that would be the problem with this show :) I love to go places with Susan. She is willing to try ANYTHING and gets me to do things I would never do alone (like getting the facial in the middle of Seph@ra and then walking around for the rest of the day at the mall with NO make up on! and really not caring at all how I looked!)...but I always have a BLAST with her and that is why I think this would be a great show for her!
Anyone have a show they would like to be on????

I will do a post on this too. Good ideas. I want to actually write Andy Cohen at Bravo and pitch shows. That is so Susan, I want to go to that cupcake gelato place again.
I'm more of a Houswives of...type of a person. I would love to be on the Jersey one, or the NY one...but not Atlanta.
I am thinking about a show in which average people like us get what I like to call {lifestyle grants}. This is a grant one gets just because, and the grant money goes toward aiding the grantee in living the lifestyle he/she would like to live, even if just for one year. The person would still work..the people who would give the lifestyle grants...well.... people who have loads of it. :) In return, the grantees would make a documentary about the lavish things they chose, and why...so like Oprah could give a grant, and then the person would be featured in a show on her network. :) I dream about this...
you know what, i think morgan's idea of a show for me ROCKS!! :)
