The rest of my birthday week (I celebrate the whole week long, for those of you that didn't know that--one day is simply not enough!!) has been great. I got a new UNC shirt from Zach and Nicole, a red blender, clothes, new red magnetic spice containers, and money from mom and dad. I also got an emergency hammer to use if you get stuck in your car...it may sound crazy, but you never know when you might need it! I got this idea from Laura :) Who knows, it may save my life someday! On Wednesday, Cedric and Zach picked up our new china cabinet, and last night Cedric and I stocked it with all our wedding china and crystal..I think it looks great! The weekend is almost here and I am glad it is finally Friday. HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY, to those from SME! I'll be attending a baby shower tomorrow for a friend at school, then Sunday, a Pampered Chef shower for Nicole...Other than that, I will be getting ready for the Stock the Bar party we are having for Z/N next weekend.....Hope you all have a great weekend, I think it is supposed to warm back up so I hope to get outside!

Happy Birthday to Me!

My 29th birthday week got off to a good start this weekend..I celebrated with Laura and Cynthia this weekend when we visited Raleigh...I got cool carolina blue crocs from Cynthia (she is upset because I already had them--our great minds think alike sometimes)..no worries though, I think I am going to exchange them for the Mary Jane style...Laura gave me this cool Soy Toi...it is a warming pot that heats scented soy wax that heals your hands, bugbites, even wrinkles..it is awesome and I have been using it at least 5 times a day! She also got me a sweet Willow Tree hope angel to add to my collection (we both collect these of course!) Today on my real birthday, Cedric woke me up with breakfast in bed! He made an omelette and even chopped up onions for me....also, an english muffin, juice and toast...He surprised me with beautiful princess cut diamond earrings. They are awesome and I have looked at my ears a hundred times already today! Tonight, we are going out with my family for dinner and to celebrate with them...This is my last year in my twenties and I intend on making it the best one yet!!!

Fun Weekend with a SAD ending....
The Three Girls Watching the Game on Friday
Our trip to Raleigh this weekend was great! We watched the game Friday night at the Skybox and had a great time. The Heels came back from a big deficit to win the game. Saturday, we slept in and shopped around Raleigh, then headed up to Rudino's for Italian food and a night out under the stars. The weather was beautiful all weekend long. Sunday, Cynthia, Cedric, and I headed up to Franklin Street to watch the game against Georgetown. It started out great...wings, beer, and a decent lead, but we ended up blowing it and losing in overtime. Also, such sad news about our mascot, who got hit by a car. He passed away yesterday. A bad weekend for Tarheels. I did discover a new drink, the Blue Woody..it is half Blue Moon and half Woodchuck Cider....very very tasty. I am sad that our season is over....don't think I'll be watching the Final Four, but if I do, guess I'll pull for Georgetown..then I can at least say we got beat by the national champs :(
My New Favorite Beer Drink, The Blue Woody!!
Me and Ceddy watching the game on Sunday at BW3 in Chapel Hill
Cynthia looking serious towards the end of the game....guess her prayers didn't work!

Happy 1st Day of Spring!!!
The first day of spring is officially here and that makes me VERY happy! I love all the flowers blooming, birds chirping, and most importantly, the beginnning of warm weather...tank tops and capri pants, here I come...along with that, bathing suits....Cedric and I are back at the gym, just in time for this dreaded event...Hopefully by the time we need to be in bathing suits, we will be a little more toned and a few pounds lighter :) We went yesterday at 5 am, before work. We aren't planning on doing that every day, but it was nice to get it over with and I feel like it gave me a lot of energy during the day..which I desperately need, since I spend my days with 5-11 year olds who are FULL of energy! In fact, I will need extra energy this Thursday, I am going on a field trip at school with the 4th graders...After that, we are headed to Raleigh this weekend to visit with Laura, Cynthia, and Travis for my pre-birthday weekend (it is March 28th)...don't worry, I plan on celebrating this weekend, all next week, and into the next weekend...you guys know me, I love an event! Anyways, happy springtime to all and GO TARHEELS!! Sorry, had to get that in somewhere....

Sweet, Sweet Sixteen!

We made it to the Sweet Sixteen and will be playing Friday night at the Meadowlands against USC at 10:00...I think I was partly responsible for our victory Saturday night...I was sporting my boyfriend's jersey (bought for me by my sweet and very understanding husband) and my UNC beads that I bought on Franklin Street the day of our national championship victory in March 2005--despite being decked out in complete Carolina blue and white from head to toe, my friend Amy and I decided we needed more UNC stuff on our bodies and we left our spot at the bar to buy these beads-see picture above..I think they brought us luck, because we won that night...I will be wearing this outfit for the remainder of the NCAA tournament games, hopefully we will be playing in 4 more this season! GO HEELS!!!

1 Down, 5 more to go

The Tarheels beat Eastern Kentucky 86-65 last night...of course, the game didn't tip off until a little after ten..I made it to about half time, then I fell asleep on the sofa...luckily we pulled it off and will be playing Michigan State on Saturday at 8:15 to secure a trip to the Sweet Sixteen. Even better, Duke got beat 79-77 in a very close game against VCU. I know they are in the ACC and many people may believe that we should pull for everyone in the ACC, but obviously those people are not Duke or Carolina fans. We NEVER pull for Duke and Duke NEVER pulls for us and that is the way we LIKE IT!! That is why the rivalry is such a great one. On TV last night, they said the arena in Winston Salem erupted last night when news of the Duke loss was announced....That's because it was filled with many of us Tarheel fans...a Duke loss is about as good as a UNC victory :)
In other news....Cedric and I joined a gym yesterday...we went pretty regularly when we lived in Raleigh, but after we moved, we have been pretty LAZY...it shows, my pants are all a little tight! So, we had our first workout yesterday and I can feel it in my legs today. We are going today when I get out of school...it so rainy and yucky here today--maybe going to the gym will give me a little more energy! HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Spring Has Sprung...and look what I got to wear today!!!

Ok, for those of you who know me, you know that I LOVE my Rainbows...today is the first time since the fall that I have been able to wear them....The high temp. today is supposed to be 81 degrees here in NC, so I broke out my capri pants and my black rainbows for school this morning! I now have 3 pairs, brown, black, and red (courtesy of Aunt Janie this Christmas)...I am going to have to get a new pair of brown ones this summer..I have had mine for 3 years and they are now officially worn out. Anyways, I hope the good weather keeps up, I am sick of the cold and ready for warmer days! I have a meeting with a parent afterschool today and then I am getting outside to enjoy some of this sunshine. Enjoy!!

ACC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS 2007!!!

Well, the Tarheels did it! ACC Tournament Champs for the 1st time since 1998....it was a close one, we blew a 16 point lead in the second half, but managed to hang on and beat those Wolfpack. Our team only missed one free throw the entire game and those free throws were the key! Tyler managed to make all of his, even with the lovely mask he is wearing courtesy of Gerald Henderson from Duke...Now, it is on to bigger and better things, the NCAA Tournament.....hopefully we will be playing in Winston Salem next weekend as a Number 1 seed....we won't find that out until later on this afternoon. GO TARHEELS!!

Our Trip to Vermont!!!

I was going through the CD and getting ready to print some pictures from our trip to Vermont in January over MLK Jr. Holiday, and I could not resist putting this one up for you guys to see...Yes, my three lovely best friends (Cynthia, Brianne, and Laura) and I really did drink an entire METRE of beer in Montreal! I am sure that doesn't surprise too many of you...No help from Jessie (Brianne's husband) either, he was our DD. It was great, when they brought it out to us at the bar, they ring a loud bell and the whole bar cheered for us....And, for the record, the beer is of a higher alcohol content in Canada...too bad it was so darn cold there or we should consider a move....Needless to say, we had a great trip up to Vermont....
We headed up on Thursday night and stayed up almost all night catching up with each other...and 4 bottles of wine..by the end of the evening, Brianne and I were busting out the Bacardi and orange juice! We spent the next day recovering and then visited with Jessie's mom, then hit a local Italian place in downtown St. Albans for dinner...After that we headed up to the Price Chopper (which incidentally is a great grocery store, despite the name!) to stock up on snacks and other necessities (beer and wine of course--we were on vacation!)....Saturday was our day in Montreal...we had a great time, visited the London Pub for a Lychee martini (a fruit that I didn't even know existed, but it was great and apparently is the new trend in martinis)... Our day ended with the Metre of beer at the 3 Brothers Brewery. You should of seen us trying to order off the menu, which was written in French! Jessie drove us back that night and luckily, we did make it through the border patrol!! Sunday, we hit the Cabot Cheese place, then headed to Burlington and watched the Patriots win their playoff game. Monday morning we woke up to a bunch of white stuff on the ground...our flights were delayed but we all made it back, some easier than others (sorry Laura)....All in all, it was an EXCELLENT trip!!! Brianne and Jessie, thanks for having us and letting us invade your home!!! Love you guys!!
Mr. Hansbrough

My Boyfriend!
Here he is, a picture of my boyfriend Tyler Hansbrough...I know, I know, he is a little young for me, but don't worry, he is of legal age!!! He will be looking a little different when the Heels play on Friday at noon, due to a broken nose...I'm not worried though, I am sure he will be just as cute with the funny looking mask on!!!
Go Heels! We have not won the ACC Tournament since 1998...I think this is the year!!

HOW 'BOUT THEM HEELS?????????
What a good morning to be a Tarheel fan!!! Our girls team won the ACC Tournament for the 3rd year in a row and our boys whipped the Blue Devils yesterday for the 2nd time this season...This win gave them a share of 1st place for the ACC Regular Season Title (we share it with Virginia). I watched basketball all day long and was VERY happy with what I saw. The guys looked great, especially compared to the last two games. Now it is on to the ACC tournament this weekend, I hope we can win that too, but it will be tough. Oh well, I will at least be happy until Friday.....GO TARHEELS!!!!!
