* Pretzels with new honey mustard dip from French's (YUM)
* Tropicana 50 pomegrante/blueberry juice (so sour and good with 1/2 the calories of regular juice)
* Peaches and cream instant oatmeal (this has been my breakfast of choice for the past several weeks)
*COFFEE! I am back loving it again, just the smell made me sick at the beginning of my pregnancy. This is my splurge right now...I am having one cup per day in the morning and loving it...So ready for the yummy fall creamers to come out (hello pumpkin spice!)
* Frappe's from Micky D's...If you have not had one of these, DO NOT try one! They are highly addictive..I am scared to check the calorie content because I know that will ruin it for me and I am just not ready to give them up yet! Cheaper than Starbucks but really very yummy! Again a warning, do not try them!
*Baby girl stuff--I have been working on stuff for Elizabeth...A name sign to go over her crib and one to go in the John Deere room (which she will share with Gaby when she is old enough to be out of the crib). Also have been buying girly stuff that I am suprised I like (like stretchy headbands, bows, etc.)...What the heck has come over me?
*Magnetic primer and chalkboard paint-Ceddy did the most awesome job with these in Gaby's room...He did a display board with the magnetic primer, now we can put up his artwork on the wall in there. This can be painted over in any color with regular paint, we just left it grey b/c we liked the way it looked contrasted with the green paint in his room. Also he painted Gabriel's closet door with magnetic primer followed by chalkboard paint, Gabriel can play magnets on it and draw and he loves it! So neat and easy to do! I will post pics of this later. I plan on doing a wall in each of the kiddos' rooms with the maganetic primer when we build our house, it is just so neat!
*Football-So glad football season is here...Looking forward to watching games in real life and on TV. Nothing like big men in tight pants :)

Campmeeting 2010
For Susan :)
This year was the 157th year of Balls Creek Campmeeting. For those of you that don't know about it, it is held 2 weeks every year in August, and it is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Families have "tents", which are like wooden shacks, most are 2 stories with a downstairs and upstairs. The tents are all connected to each other, side by side. These tents have power, water (most do not have bathrooms though) and furniture like chairs, beds, etc, this is up to the family. Our tent has beds, a big kitchen table, refrigerator, and stove. The tents are arranged in a 2 large circles (probably 1/3 mile around)...The distance in between the 2 circles of tents creates a walkway of probably 15 feet across, and this is the pathway that you walk around to visit people at other tents. In the middle of the whole place is the arbor, which is a large outdoor church. Church services are held every day and then at night. There are a couple of different sets of bathrooms that are located around the perimeter of the whole place...Toilets and a sink only, no showers.
Basically the campground is a HUGE social event! You go to the campground and hang out with your family, walk around and see others at their tents, go to church services, and most importantly, go to the shack. The shack is a big building that sells food, ice cream, snow cones, and all kinds of junky toys that kids LOVE! We do not go the campground every single night simply because it was just too hot! We go a few nights during the week and always go on Friday and Saturday nights, these are the most crowded. At 11:00 at night, a big bell is rang out in the arbor, this means it is time to go home or at least get into your tent and quiet down. Policemen walk around after this making sure eveyrone is being quiet. They also ring the bell to announce the church services. Besides at night, we also go on both Sundays to church, which I love. They always sing old-fashioned songs that it seems like we never to get to sing at our church (ex: When the Roll is Called Up Yonder, This is My Story, Bringing in the Sheaves, etc.) After church, we have a huge family lunch at our tent, then we hang out well into the afternoon. Here is a picture of our tent:

This is the arbor, when I was little I wanted to get married here (many people have done this):

This pic shows you the walkway that people "walk around", this was the 1st Sunday and it poured down rain after church. All the kiddies built a dam out in the middle of the walkway and just had a blast!

My dad's family has owned a tent here for all of my life and all of his life, I don't know how we got the tent though. Occasionally someone will put one up for sale, but it is mostly families that have been here FOREVER that own tents. There is a board of trustees, these people look after things at the campground (my Uncle David is on this board). Many people spend the night out at the campground (we did not this year but I have a feeling we will next year b/c Gabriel is dying to). When I was little we would spend the night some and my Mamaw Lib would stay too, then she would get up and cook us breakfast in the morning (country ham and rice, YUM!). When my dad was a kid, the whole family would go out and stay for the entire 2 weeks, hardly going home at all. It was a vacation for many people in the commnunity.
Really people of all ages enjoy the campground. Older folks enjoy the church services and visiting with others at "tents". Teens love to "walk around". Kids love to play out there, Gabriel has a ball just playing with his dumptruck out in the walkway. The shack sells all kinds of junky toys and kids just love to go to the shack to get something. On the last day (which was Sunday), the shack sells "grab bags", which is a big brown bag full of toys. They were $7 this year, i think they were $3 or $4 when I was a kid. Whoopie cushions, paddle balls, glow sticks, toy guns and swords are in the grab bags. Campmeeting is a very fun event, but people who are not from around here usually think it is crazy (Cedric included)...Most people who have grown up always going to campmeeting love it. Kool Park Pool
I am trying to catch up on my pics from the end of July...I somehow broke the adapter I use to upload pics from my memory card to the computer, so now I am playing catch up! We went to Kool Park Pool with Aunt Carol, Peyton, Kathy, Maggie, and MeMe a few weeks ago and had an absolute blast! We were there from 11-almost 6 (when they close) and we definitely got our money's worth! Gaby must have went down the slide 100 times and he begged us to go off some of the diving boards (maybe next year!)...We are planning on making this an annual trip, it is a great place to go and spend the day. I like the fact that you can bring your own food, drinks, chairs, floats, etc. Lots and lots of fun!

Tuesday Tidbits
* Went to the gym 2 times last week...I had wanted to do 3 but just didn't make it, my goal is to do 2 mornings again this week. Getting up at 5:30 just plain stinks!
* Had a doctor visit last week and my BP was normal 110/84 which is a good bit DOWN from my visit 1 month ago, so that was GREAT news! Maybe I will be able to make the Black Friday sales after Thanksgiving if this continues!!!!
*Gabriel fell running up the steps outside Thursday and smashed his nose. The doctor doesn't think it is broken, but we are waiting for the swelling to go down to assess the damages. Poor guy, he is super clumsy like his mom! Really hoping all is ok with it....it looks bad :(
* Went to a huge kids consignment with mom on Thursday and got lots of good stuff for both the kiddos, there is SOOO much more girl stuff, let me tell ya, but it seems like it is ALL pink. Not that I have a problem with her wearing SOME pink but I would like her wardrobe to have a little variety! Going to another big sale this Friday and my plan is to only get stuff that is other colors! I also really like clothes that look more little girlish vs. babyish.
*Took Gaby to his first b-day party for a non-family member. It was for one of his friends from school and he had a blast! Went for a boat ride, grilled out, cake and ice cream, the whole she-bang! Pics to follow....
*Went out to the campground Friday night...Lots of fun but it has just been too hot for me to go every night. We will be out there again this week and I am sure over the weekend. Don't worry Susan, I am going to bring my camera and take lots of pics and do a good post about it!

Beach Pics 2010
We had SOOO much fun at the beach this year! Lots of swimming, playing, and eating good food! Gabriel's favorite thing to do was to go down the big water slide at mom and dad's resort, he absolutely loved it! Jackson loved the water at the beach too! He got new swimmies and he didn't want to get out of the water!!!! Gabriel also really enjoyed going to ride all the kiddie rides at Family Kingdom! Unfortunately I do not have any pictures from there, it looked like a huge storm was going to come up while we were there (and it did!) so I did not bring my camera in. We are going back to the beach over Labor Day weekend and I am sure we will hit FK again, Gabriel cannot stop talking about all the rides there and keeps asking when we are going to go back!
Today Was Day 1
...of my workout plans...I have neglected the gym for at least 9 months now. Really ridiculous because I have a membership, the gym is about 1 mile from my house, and to top it all off, it is open 24 hours a day. So the only real reason I can give you for not exercising there is that I am just a lazy POS when it comes to exercise. I have a love/hate relationship with exercise...I know that when I do it I feel MUCH better, but it is getting motivated to do it that seems to be my problem. I can always find an excuse for why NOT to go to the gym (too tired, too busy with other things that "have" to be done, etc.). I will get into a routine of going to the gym and really feel great, then something will happen to get me out of my routine (you know I love a schedule) and I am back to being a couch potato again!
I have had points in my life (college and first few years of work) when I was obsessed with exercise and did some form or another probably 4 times per week (gym, step/kickboxing classes, walking, running, etc). And let me tell you, while the Seasons were all together last weekend we brought out some old photo albums...that exercise I was doing back then was paying off. I looked great! It is funny because back then I thought I was such a fatty fatty 2 x 4...if I can get back to that body, I swear I am going to love it and enjoy myself! I think I have convinced myself that I looked about the same size-wise as I was back then..these pictures brought me back to reality. After I have this baby, I want to get back down to my "fighting" weight. It is probably 15 or 20 pounds heavier than what Weight Watchers recommnded for my height, but it is a weight that I think I looked good at and I was a size 8-10 at. I can live with that I think. Pre-pregancy I was a size 12-14 and that is just too damn big for me.
I guess being 22 weeks preggo is not the right time to be obsessing about weight and exercise but I do have another reason for this...Yesterday we were talking about shopping the day after Thanksgiving (this will be about a week before I give birth) and mom and Cedric said I probably won't be able to go b/c at that time in the last pregnancy I was on bedrest due to high blood pressure and very bad swelling. They were kind of joking with me about it, but in all honesty, it very could end up being the truth. I do not want a repeat of that. And with the heat of the last two weeks, I have already had some swelling of my hands and feet. My blood pressure was slightly elevated at my last ob/gyn visit. This scared me and I hope has motivated me to at least exercise a little. My goal is this: 3 times per week for at least 30 minutes of cardio. I did my first session today. 40 minutes and I walked 2 miles on the treadmill. If I get up at 5:40, I can get dressed, get to the gym and do my thing, and be home by 6:45 and ready to work at 7. No reason I cannot do this. I am hoping by writing about this I will be more accountable. It felt good today to move. I am proud that I did not just turn the alarm off and sleep another hour, because let me tell you, that is what I wanted to do...But day 1 is over and I was successful. I will keep you posted on how things go :)
