Finally More Pictures!

Ok, everyone has been emailing and wanting more pictures....Finally I have uploaded them to the computer...Being a mom is a LOT more time consuming than what I thought it would be! It is 1:00 and I am still in my pajamas. The morning has been spent feeding and changing Gabriel and managing to do a load of his laundry. I have just put him down for a nap (i hope) and thought I would get on here and do a little blogging! Maybe if I am lucky I can squeeze in a shower before he wakes up!!
Seriously though, things are going good. We are still not sleeping much at night, which is really wearing Cedric and me down, especially Cedric, since he does have to get up and go to work everyday. Hopefully this will improve :) I am really trying to keep Gabriel awake as much as possible during the day so that he (and WE) can get some sleep at night like normal people!!! Any tips from other moms are welcome!

Gabriel went back to the doctor on Thursday. He has grown 2 inches (now 21 1/2) and weighs 8 lbs, 9 oz. They want him to gain a little more than that though so I am really trying to feed him a lot. He is 50% for weight, 75% for height, and 90% for his head size-- ha ha!!! We go back on Valentine's Day. I go back for my for week check up next Friday, the 8th. Hopefully I will get an ALL-CLEAR for activity. I can at least drive now, which is nice.

Ok, he is awake and now sitting on my lap, I guess this is his first official blog. I will try and do better on updates. Hope everyone is doing great and have a good week!!

1 Week Old!!!!

Gabriel is one week old today and I cannot believe how quickly this week has passed! We are all doing great...Gabriel had his first doctor appointment on Tuesday. He has already gained back up and even past his birth weight, and is 8 lbs. 4 1/2 oz. The doc said this is great and that everything seems healthy! I guess he is getting enough to eat! Breastfeeding is really going well so far for us. We have spent the week at home just staying snuggly, except for the doctor appt. and one trip over to my mom and dads. It snowed here last night, about an inch (enough to look pretty), and has been sleeting all day. Cedric goes to work on Saturday..He is working Saturday, Sunday and Monday (it is a holiday weekend so he should be busy) and then will be back at home with us next Tuesday-Friday. I am already dreading him leaving! It is just so fun to be here all together. Rocky has really adjusted so well to Gabriel, I was worried for nothing. He is a very protective big brother! I finally put some pictures together this morning, so enjoy! Being a mommy is like nothing I could have ever imagined! It is like I cannot even imagine what I did before this precious baby was around! For all of you who are wondering, yes, I am changing diapers, even the poopy ones! I am not that good at it yet, but I get better each day! I am glad I waited and that Gabriel's diaper was the first I ever changed, he was worth the wait!!!!!

Gabriel Ryan Moore.....

was born on Thursday morning at 4:21 a.m. He weighed 8 pounds, 2 1/2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long! I ended up having to have a C-section...I dilated to 4 and then would not progress...Gabriel's heartrate was low, so they decided to go on and do the C-section...They think his head was too large to descend any further. We are at home as of yesterday and are doing good. I am having a hard time getting around of course, which makes things a little tricky. We are very very tired but so happy. I love being a mommy already!!!! I promise I will post more pictures soon. Here are a few of our favorites!!!

Tonight is THE Night!

We check into the hospital at 8:00 to be induced....so hopefully sometime tomorrow we will FINALLY get to meet baby Gabriel! Tomorrow is my parents' anniversary too, which is will be neat if he is born then!!!! We will keep you posted! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers tonight and tomorrow. I am excited but nervous as heck!!!!!

It Was A Close One!!!

Thank you Wayne Ellington.....He hit the game winning 3-pointer with .04 left on the clock at the end of overtime against Clemson.....Wow, what a game it was...We were down 7 points with about 2 1/2 minutes left in regulation....Cedric said I was the quietest he has ever heard me watching the last few minutes of the game and the 5 minutes of overtime. I was a nervous wreck and had my eyes partially covered with my hands!!! I thought all the excitement from the end of the game might make Gabriel want to come out and see what the heck was going on, but no such luck!

Update

Doctor's appointment on Wednesday was uneventful to say the least....no real changes in anything, they said I was 1 1/2 cm dilated, as opposed to 1 cm like last week, but I think they just told me that to make me feel better :) They want to wait until next Wednesday, then will induce on Thursday or Friday if nothing has occured naturally. So we are just playing the waiting game, which has gotten old really fast. Cedric has at least been home with me today and yesterday, which has helped to make the time past more quickly. Other than that, nothing much to tell...we will keep you posted.....

Today is my due date....

but so far, Gabriel has not arrived!!!! He was supposed to be here by today, in fact, I have been expecting him for 2 or 3 weeks now, but still no baby. I have a doctor's appointment today at 2:00...guess I will find out what the next steps are...They told me last week that they would only let me go one week past my due date, so at least there is an end in sight...I hope they induce me tomorrow!! Thanks for all the suggestions for bringing on labor, Maryellen and Jenn, I tried yours this morning, we will see if it works!!!

We spent our New Years Eve at home this year, hanging out with my cousin Lucy and her boyfriend Martin. Very low key but lots of fun! I am proud to say that we did stay awake and see the ball drop at midnight, and even had a little strawberry champagne, which was delicious! I will be watching the Heels play Kent State tonight, the next game is the 1st conference game, against Clemson on 1/6. GO HEELS!!! My boyfriend Tyler Hansbrough is having a GREAT year so far and I just ordered my "Psycho T Fan Club" tee-shirt off the internet at CafePress....I am hoping it arrives in time for me to wear it to the UNC/NC State game party my cousin Chris is having on January 12th...I just hope we are able to attend with new baby Gabriel...I though he would be a few weeks old by then, but I guess that is not the case....I will let you know the details from my doctor's appointment....
