The Big Day is Tomorrow!

Well, the end is finally here! I am scheduled for a C-section tomorrow morning at 7 AM, which means we have to be at the hospital by 5 AM (good thing I am a morning person and have not been sleeping well anyway!).....We are all very excited to finally get to meet Elizabeth, including Gabriel, although I am not sure that he entirely understands what is going to happen. The bags are packed, batteries charged and carseat is ready! So I guess we are all set! I am definitely ready to be un-pregnant, although I have to say this pregnancy has been MUCH better than my first. I am uncomfortable but not miserable and that really has made a big difference. Thank goodness too, I can't imagine having to be on bedrest with Gabriel around!

Cedric's last week of class is this week and he has an exam on Friday, so it is going to be kind of crazy around here. Thankfully my mom has taken off for the week to help take care of all of us! My doc says I can come home sometime on Wednesday as long as everything is going ok or I can stay until Thursday...I am thinking I will be ready to come back home as soon as possible. I know last time in the hospital it was very hard to get any real rest. Just when you would fall asleep they come in to give you some medicine, check vitals, etc. Plus I know I am going to be missing Gabriel (and Rocky!) and will be ready to get back to them!

I have had a wonderful week at home with Gabriel, here are a few highlights of what we have been doing:

1) Cedddy and I took Gabriel to Monkey Joe's on Wednesday. If you have kids and have never been, you need to go...They have all these HUGE bouncy things, slides, etc (when I say huge, they are big enough for grown ups to play on) and it is all inside and very reasonably priced. This is Gabriel's 2nd time and he just loves the place!

2) Friday we had pre-op at the hospital. Gabriel went back with me while I had to get some labs done and charmed all the nurses of course. He told me to be brave like he was when he had his flu shot! After that, Cedric had to go to class for the rest of the day. Gabriel and I hit Chick Fil A for lunch (one of our 2 favorite spots, the other being "Old McDonalds"), then I took him to the movies for the 1st time. We watch movies at home but never had been to the theatre with him yet. We went to see "Tangled" in 3D and he loved it, so did I! It was a very special afternoon for both of us and something that I will always remember.

3) Christmas stuff--we are finally all decorated and 90% of the presents are bought and wrapped. So I feel pretty good about that and can relax a little!

Well, guess this is it for now, will try to update later on this week with pics of our new baby girl!!!!!!!!

2010 Christmas Parade

We hit the Christmas parade this past Tuesday. Last year it was just me, Gaby, Ceddy and MeMe, but this year we added some more folks to the mix (Zach, Nicole, Jackson, mom, and dad). So glad they could all join us, I think everyone had a blast! I think dad had more fun than anyone, you should have seen him up on the street begging everyone in the parade for candy! Bad weather threatened to ruin our fun, but luckily it only rained for 10 or 15 minutes or so and we all just piled in the Jeep to stay dry. We have decided next year we are going to get to our spot earlier and bring fun snacks to tailgate with!

Trip to See Santa!

We took Gabriel to Ba^* Pro Shop last night to see Santa. We also did this last year and if you have little ones, this is THE place to go to see the big man! FREE pic (Yes, I said FREE pic, it is $15-20 at the mall now) and they have tons of fun stuff set up to play with and the whole place just looks great. We had a blast! Gabriel sat on Santa's lap all by himself (last year I ended up in the pic too!) and told him what he is hoping for this Christmas (a four-wheeler and a firetruck that lights up!)...What a fun time we had!

Love This Face!

Just had to post this one big, I love Gabriel's smiley happy face!

Jett's 3rd Birthday!

This weekend we celebrated with Jett for his 3rd birthday. The party was "Cars" themed and the big surprise of the day was a HUGE Cars bouncehouse set up outside. Gabriel squealed when we saw it for the first time and the kids had a blast jumping in it (some of the big kids too--ahem MeMe!)...The weather was beautiful and it was a perfect day to enjoy some time outside. That is about all we did this weekend other than church, watching some football, playing, and being lazy. I have not had the most energy the past few weeks, so it was nice just to spend some time at home relaxing. I loved the time change, Sunday seemed like the LONGEST day in history and I did get a few things done around the house. I finished up all the thank you cards from the "sprinkle" and got them in the mail, and also got Gabriel's birthday invites all addressed and ready to be mailed. Not sending them out quite yet, but am trying to get as much done early as possible.

This weekend we have no huge plans either, love it! I am off Thurday for Veteran's Day and am sending Gabriel to school so I can have some "me" time! I have a massage scheduled (gift certificate from my birthday waaaay back in March!) and I am hoping to do a little Christmas shopping. I have a good bit of it done already and hope to be finished and have it all wrapped by the time Elizabeth gets here. Mom and I are going to go up to Ba%ies R U* later in the afternoon to check out bottles and a few other things I need. Friday I will be off with Gabriel and hope that we can do something special together. I cherish our Fridays together and we won't have too many more where it is just the 2 of us (ok I am tearing up now...very hormonal!)...Saturday I will have to hit the annual Rehobeth barbecue, YUM, then hope the Heels can beat V. Tech. Sunday will be the usual, church and football. I am also hoping to begin some Christmas decorating this weekend..I know it may seem very early but I have got to get this stuff done when I can...And we always usually have at least our tree up by Thanksgiving anyways...I started listening to Christmas tunes yesterday and that is getting me in the mood for the holidays. I am going to pull down our Christmas books and movies, can't wait to start reading them with Gabriel. I think he is going to love Christmas as much as I do!

Next week is my last week of work, yippee! I will not lie, I am really looking forward to some time off. I love my job and the folks that I work with are incredible, but as you all know, no matter how much you enjoy your job, WORK is still WORK, and it is always nice to have a break from it!

My Favorite Pics

These are my favorite from Halloween weekend, I love my little bullrider!!!!!

Halloween Weekend

We had a very fun Halloween weekend! It began on Friday afternoon with Trunk or Treat at Gabriel's school. We were both dressed like cowboys, I somehow managed to stuff my feet in my cowboy boots. Needless to say, I did not dress up on Halloween day b/c my feet just could not do it again! After this, we went to the Bandys football game. It was very cold but we stayed to the very end so Gabriel could run around and "play" on the big field after the game. This is his favorite part of the game!

Saturday we had Halloween snacks and a fire at mom and dads. Chip and Melissa brought the twins and they had a great time playing with Gabriel and Jackson. They loved riding on Gabriel's JD tractor, I have a feeling Santa might have to bring one (or two!) to their house this Christmas! Best costume has to go to MeMe, she was an awesome Ghostbuster and Gabriel just loved that she had the backpack and Ghostbuster gun!

Sunday we had the Heart-o-Ween celebration to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Luke's heart transplant. After this we made our rounds trick or treating...By the end of the night, I was completely exhausted! It was fun to celebrate Halloween for an entire weekend, but it was a little too much for this preggo girl to handle!
