This and That

Alright, I am a slacker and finally getting around to posting some pics from our vacation.....First, we spent a week a Myrtle Beach, it was awesome, very relaxing...I spent my days under the umbrella out on the beach just reading and napping..This is a pic from our family game of putt-putt...Mom and Dad were the champs this year, Ced and I tied for 2nd, which is better than last year when we came in 3rd!

Next we headed up to Asheville for the ABC Convention...I love the Grove Park Inn, I hope when I go back I can afford to visit the spa, it was outrageously priced but looked amazing...I had a great time, even though I could not drink a thing :( Next year, I will be back though! There was lots of cool new stuff to try, a vodka/energy drink called PINK that looked good and a lot of pomegrante flavored stuff, yum. Here are a few pics....

The studs all dressed up for dinner!

Me and Cedric clean up pretty well!!

One more bit of news....Tomorrow we have our BIG ultrasound at 2:00...hopefully if little baby Moore cooperates, we will get to find out what he or she is.....Stay tuned, I will post the results tomorrow after our appointment!!!!!!

We're Baaaack!

We got back into town yesterday afternoon....we were at Myrtle Beach until Sunday, then headed up to the Grove Park Inn in Asheville for the NC ABC Convention...my dad was inducted as the president for the state ABC Association!!! No, unfortunately that does not mean that we get all the free alcohol we want...but it was a ton of fun...Cedric has one more day of vacation, then he is back to work on Saturday...we are still just resting and relaxing. I will post pics and more about our trip this weekend.
Congrats to my friends Jenn and Allie! Jenn gave birth to baby girl Hadley this week!

Just for Fun

Ok, for those of you who know me well....you know that I have always wanted to have a certain color hair, but have not yet had the balls to do it permanently...I did put this color in my hair on the last day of school several years ago, but it was the kind that washes out...I thought it looked fabulous though...I took the following quiz tonight and it was right on the money.....See below for the results and try it yourself! To make matters even worse with regards to hair, my belly dancing instructor has her hair this color, and her haircut is super cute too...I need a new 'do! I feel like I have had more or less the same haircut for years and I am even sick of being a blonde...although we all know I tried being a brunette a few years back and didn't really care for that either.....maybe red??? I am going to search the internet for short cute haircuts because I do have an appointment on Friday with Jenny...sorry for obsessing about hair, I am a one-track mind and tonight, it is on how much I do not like mine!!

Ok , to change the subject from hair....Not too much going on here this week....Cedric went to Greensboro to have a UFC Fight Night for the boys at Dustin's Saturday night..I have been cleaning, doing laundry, and trying to get stuff ready for the beach....I leave on Saturday, Cedric will be coming down late Tuesday after work..I cannot wait to hit the beach (under my umbrella with my SPF 50 on of course!) and read some good books....I guess there will be no "boogy boarding" for me this year...you can't do ANYTHING fun when you are pregnant..I will be watching the boys from the shore. At least I can still hit the outlets, you are allowed to shop when you are pregnant and I am not at the point where my feet are swollen and hurting all the time, so I am in business. My car is still in the shop, transmission troubles, yipee!!! Thank goodness it is still under warranty..They called last Thursday to say the parts were in, it is Monday night and I haven't heard back from them...Think I will give them a call tomorrow to check on the status of things...I miss the ole PT Cruiser! One more fun thing...I bought an MP3 player this past week...It is not an Ipod, but I LOVE it!!! You should have seen me at the gym this morning, working out to music from the Rocky movies...I swear it was the best workout I have had in weeks...LOVE IT, should have bought one a long time ago...Cedric has one on his phone but I think he will probably get an Ipod for his birthday, I think he deserves one, as much as that boy loves his music....Alright, I hope you are all doing great...I may not have a chance to write again before the beach, but I promise a good update complete with pics after our trip. Don't worry about me, I'll be drinking some virgin daiquiris and n/a beers on the beach...won't be the same, but hey, there's always next year.......

Your Hair Should Be Pink

Weekend Trip to Raleigh

Rocky and I had an awesome trip to Raleigh this weekend....Friday, I had my doctor's appt. in the morning...everything is going along just fine, we have an ultrasound appointment on August 1st, we should find out what we are having by then!!!
After the appt., Rocky and I hit the road for Raleigh...we made it all the way without having to stop for a bathroom break, which is a HUGE accomplishment for a preggo woman and a little dog, let me tell you! When we got to Cynthia's house, Rocky was THRILLED to see his big buddies Max and Romeo (both Rottweilers--don't worry about Rocky though, he has always acted as if he were bigger than they are and they let him go about thinking this)....That afternoon, we went over to see a friend of ours who just had a little girl 3 weeks ago..we had a great visit and then met Laura at the Twisted Fork in Raleigh for dinner....great food, minus the fly that I found in my salad :( We headed back over to Cynthia's and hung out there for the rest of the night...On Saturday, Cynthia and I slept in, then hit Pretty Nails for pedicures...my toes look great but I'm not sure I will be able to withstand the smell of the nail salon anytime soon...After the pedicures, we met Laura and her mom at the movies to see "Evening"...chick flick, but overall, it was pretty disappointing...good popcorn and sour patch kids though...ok, can you tell I am excited by food these days...my latest odd craving is for gummy bears!!
After the movie, we went over to Erin's house to visit with her, sister Katie, baby Alice, and doggy Sophia...Alice is precious, she is 6 months old and adorable!!!
Sunday, we headed up to North Hills to eat at 5 Guys...after stuffing our faces with burgers and fries, we checked out the Total Wine..I was very excited to find a non-alcoholic wine section, with probably 10 different wines...I got a cabernet and a 6 pack of Kaliber, a n/a beer made by Guinness...haven't tried either of them yet, but I'll let you know how they are when I do break into them...After this, Rocky and I had to hit the road for home..he was very sad to go...We had a great weekend and it was so good to get to catch up with the girls....Miss you guys!!

On the way back, Rocky and I stopped in to visit my friend Susan, her hubby Andy, and their two adorable kids (Elena 2 and Victor 3 months)...I haven't seen them in ages and it was so good to get to catch up with them. All in all, Rocky and I had a great weekend...we were happy to get home Sunday night and see Ceddy..we missed him a bunch! Today, I am cleaning up around here and tomorrow I am working at the clinic for the day :( Thank goodness it is only one day..I am so spoiled by being off already....Then Wednesday we will be celebrating the 4th at my grandmother's cookout at the lake for lunch and then hitting the pool at Mark and Brenda's in the afternoon..

One more thing...ordered the wallpaper border for the nursery today. I have decided to go with blue/khaki regardless of whether or not it is a boy or a girl..I am just not a "pink person" :) Here is a pic of the border, it is so cute!!!!
