MeMe and I traveled to Chapel Hill last weekend to meet up with my college/grad school/bloggie pal Susan. Man did we have a great time! Susan and I met in Chapel Hill last spring for a speech conference. We had so much fun and decided to make it a yearly reunion, minus the speech convention! This year we decided MeMe needed to make the trip with us! Let me tell you, we ate, drank, and were very merry! We stayed at the Carolina Inn, which is right on the campus, minutes from Franklin Street. Just cannot say enough good things about the inn..If you are going to Franklin Street, please stay there. It is worth a little extra money for the TON you get in atmosphere. We started out Friday night with sushi at our favorite place. Here is a pic of one of the specials, the caterpillar roll. So yummy and pretty too!
After dinner we headed to the grocery store to get a few supplies (drinks and snacks)...we headed back to the inn and spent the whole night jabbering to each other outside..Meme went to bed a little earlier but I think Susan and I were up to 2:30 just catching up on the porch outside! So much fun and my how things have changed...10 years ago we would have been dying to go "uptown" but now are just happy to be together, talking about our hubbies, kiddos, jobs, families, etc...Lots to catch up on, that is for sure!
