Week Recap

This has been a good week, I loved being off on Monday (my usual day off) and then being off again today for Good Friday--three day work-weeks ROCK! Then I am off Monday again, so I end up with a four day weekend, yippee! Monday we had to take Gabriel back to the dentist. He went several weeks ago and had 1 of 3 fillings done. Monday he had the other 2, so now we are finished. I really don't understand how the kid has cavities, he is a METICULOUS brusher. I brush him, then he brushes. We weren't flossing before, but now we are nightly and if I forget, he reminds me! He also is now taking a fluoride pill at night. Hopefully the next 6 month check up will be better than this one! He really did a great job at the dentist, I know from expereince that getting a shot in the roof of your mouth hurts like heck. He held it together until after everything was over and then he broke down crying. Oh it was a good moment to be a mommy and just be able to hold and love on my little guy. Of course going to play at Old MacDonalds with an indoor playground and getting 2 new super hero figures made him feel a lot better too I think!

We dyed eggs over at mom and dad's on Sunday afternoon and we did ours here on Tuesday night. Elizabeth was cute sitting at the table with us in her high chair, she will be able to get in on the action next year. She is doing great with eating her cereal, she just loves it and smacks her lips and makes noises to let us know that we are not feeding her fast enough! We tried squash yesterday and today and the verdict is still out on whether or not she likes it. We will try it again tomorrow and then move on to carrots or sweet potatoes. I just love the baby food phase, I think it is fun to buy the cute little jars and packs of baby food! She rolled over almost 2 weeks ago 2 times (enough for me to get it on video!), but has not done it again since, stubborn little girl! She is cooing and smiling and laughing like crazy, she has the cutest little chuckle for her big brother. She just adores him and is constatntly looking for him and wanting him to come over and chat with her, which always cracks her up! I have no idea where this came from, but he says to her "have you ever heard of a speed limit?" and that just gets her going everytime!

We spent a LAZY day home today and it was awesome. Cold and dreary outside so no reason to feel bad for being lazy. I at least did a little laundry. Izzie and I slept in until 7:30 which was great because we are usually up around 6 or so. We made breakfast (turkey sausage, grits and biscuits) and Ceddy even made sausage gravy for the first time, it turned out delish! Then after lunch, Gaby and me napped in the bed and Izzie and Ceddy napped in the recliner. It was a little siesta and we all needed it I guess. We headed to town tonight and splurged at Coldsto(ne Creamery for dinner-hey, nothing wrong with ice cream for dinner every now and then! Gabriel and I just baked our bunny cake and we will decorate it tomorrow. We are headed to KM tomorrow to see the Moore clan, then we will celebrate with my family on Sunday. Fingers crossed that the weather improves so we can get outside and hide eggs!
