Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter this year! It is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate! We visited Saturday with Cedric's family, Gabriel had a blast playing with his cousin buddies there. On Sunday, we got up early to see what the Easter bunny brought--lots of goodies! My faves were the embroidered bath towels for Gabriel and Elizabeth: MeMe-the bunny needs to bring you one like Miss Izzie's, it is adorable! Gabriel's favorite thing is the Spiderman costume. It is ALL he wants to wear. He wore it for most of the afternoon even though it was VERY hot and we were outside! I think that boy really thinks he is Spiderman!!! We made it to church on time somehow, I still have a hard time getting this crowd all dressed up and out the door! Didn't get a pic of all 4 of us but guess that can wait until next year! Church was a cantata which was just ok. I would have liked to hear our preacher but guess I don't get to make the decisions! The cantata was long and drawn out of course. It makes me mad b/c we (the congregation) never get to sing much at all anymore. We get to sing like 1 verse of each song and that just irritates me for some reason...but enough about that..

After church, we grilled out with mom, dad, grandma Dot, Uncle Mitchell, Aunt Rita, and MeMe (and of course Rocky and Scout were there catching up!)...After that we hung out on the patio enjoying the gorgeous weather. I just love this time of year! It is warm but not too hot like the summer when it gets close to 100 degrees! Next we headed over to Aunt Janie's for pizza and a big egg hunt. The kids all had a blast looking for the eggs and Aunt Janie even had baby ducks! I brought a bunny cake for the 2nd year in a row. Guess it is going to be a yearly thing, because Gabriel had a blast making it with me this year and I am sure he will want to make another next year...If you know me, you know I love a holiday tradition!
