J O B !!!!

Got myself a new job, heard the good news on Friday and I put in my resignation yesterday....My last day will be April 9th, the Thursday before Good Friday. I will be off that week for spring break, then will begin my new position on April 20th. I will be working as a Speech Language Pathology consultant for the state of NC, there are only 5 of these in the whole state! I am SOOOOOO excited because I will be working out of a home office...That's right, no more early morning duty out in the cold at school, freezing my buns off while opening car doors for all the little kiddies for 45 minutes, 2 times per week! No more 10+ page IEPs to write, no more Medicaid billing, and best of all, I can wear my DAMN Rainbows all day, every day!!!!!!!! No more crazy EC directors, superintendants, etc. No more ridiculous EC paperwork to worry about, no more learning new stuff, only to learn something different a few weeks later..... I am my own boss and I make my own schedule! Ok, I know this sounds too good to be true, and I am sure it probably is, but it is a change and I NEED IT!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

**** Disclaimer*********
ps- I will miss MANY of the people who I work with, so many of them are just GREAT! It is not my school or the people that I don't like, just the state of public schools right now :)

I AM SOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!! A consultant. Hmm... sounds like every once in a while you may travel? So happy, working from home with your baby. What fun is that? What will your duties be?
