Weekend Trip to Raleigh

Rocky and I had an awesome trip to Raleigh this weekend....Friday, I had my doctor's appt. in the morning...everything is going along just fine, we have an ultrasound appointment on August 1st, we should find out what we are having by then!!!
After the appt., Rocky and I hit the road for Raleigh...we made it all the way without having to stop for a bathroom break, which is a HUGE accomplishment for a preggo woman and a little dog, let me tell you! When we got to Cynthia's house, Rocky was THRILLED to see his big buddies Max and Romeo (both Rottweilers--don't worry about Rocky though, he has always acted as if he were bigger than they are and they let him go about thinking this)....That afternoon, we went over to see a friend of ours who just had a little girl 3 weeks ago..we had a great visit and then met Laura at the Twisted Fork in Raleigh for dinner....great food, minus the fly that I found in my salad :( We headed back over to Cynthia's and hung out there for the rest of the night...On Saturday, Cynthia and I slept in, then hit Pretty Nails for pedicures...my toes look great but I'm not sure I will be able to withstand the smell of the nail salon anytime soon...After the pedicures, we met Laura and her mom at the movies to see "Evening"...chick flick, but overall, it was pretty disappointing...good popcorn and sour patch kids though...ok, can you tell I am excited by food these days...my latest odd craving is for gummy bears!!
After the movie, we went over to Erin's house to visit with her, sister Katie, baby Alice, and doggy Sophia...Alice is precious, she is 6 months old and adorable!!!
Sunday, we headed up to North Hills to eat at 5 Guys...after stuffing our faces with burgers and fries, we checked out the Total Wine..I was very excited to find a non-alcoholic wine section, with probably 10 different wines...I got a cabernet and a 6 pack of Kaliber, a n/a beer made by Guinness...haven't tried either of them yet, but I'll let you know how they are when I do break into them...After this, Rocky and I had to hit the road for home..he was very sad to go...We had a great weekend and it was so good to get to catch up with the girls....Miss you guys!!

On the way back, Rocky and I stopped in to visit my friend Susan, her hubby Andy, and their two adorable kids (Elena 2 and Victor 3 months)...I haven't seen them in ages and it was so good to get to catch up with them. All in all, Rocky and I had a great weekend...we were happy to get home Sunday night and see Ceddy..we missed him a bunch! Today, I am cleaning up around here and tomorrow I am working at the clinic for the day :( Thank goodness it is only one day..I am so spoiled by being off already....Then Wednesday we will be celebrating the 4th at my grandmother's cookout at the lake for lunch and then hitting the pool at Mark and Brenda's in the afternoon..

One more thing...ordered the wallpaper border for the nursery today. I have decided to go with blue/khaki regardless of whether or not it is a boy or a girl..I am just not a "pink person" :) Here is a pic of the border, it is so cute!!!!
