Strawberry Shortcake--- Original Vs. Modern??

Ok, for all of you children of the eighties who can relate....Just a quick question, do you prefer the new modernized Strawberry Shortcake or the original? For me, it is hands down, the original...I will not buy one thing that has the new one, she is just not Strawberry Shortcake to me! She is not nearly as cute, her hair doesn't have the cute red ringlets I always wanted as a child (hint-a perm will NOT give you curls like that), and I don't like her outfit at all! And where are those adorable green and white knee socks???? For those of you who are wondering, this intelligent, thought-provoking question was prompted by a recent email I sent to my cousin Melissa....I have no doubts where her allegiance lies! With the old Strawberry of course, she was raised up on SS like me!
