Trashy TV!

Cedric and I have this ongoing debate about the TV shows I choose to watch....now, I don't try to get him to watch these shows with me, I watch them in the morning when noone else is up yet or during my lunch break during the day when noone else is home...The main shows are the Housewive series (NY, Orange Co, and currently Atlanta)....and I also LOVE Tori and Dean (which just finished up for the year), which he finds ridiculous....He just doesn't understand why I like to watch these shows...But my good pal Maryellen offered a good reason and I think this could be it....We (us busy, stressed, overworked, and overwhelmed women) watch these shows for exactly the same reason men do not understand why we watch them...because they are mindless and so NOT like our real lives! No, I really don't have anything in common with these housewives, but that is just the point! We can watch them and just escape for an hour or so, which is what we need occassionally!!! We can watch them spend tons of money on accessories, clothes, etc. and spend tons of time at the salon drinking wine and getting their nails done (something I don't have the time or money to do!)... I don't want to watch some boring historical show or how-to-make it show like Cedric watches....I don't want to have to pay too close attention or learn some useless facts about animals, machines, etc....I have enough on my mind as it is! I want to sit back with a glass of wine, coffee, or whatever and just watch some mindless show where I do not have to use up ANY of my brainpower because I hardly have enough as it is!!!!!!!

So boys, leave us alone and let us have our 1 hour of peace, quiet, and Housewives every now and then!
